What a Week!

Yes, a week it surely was and I am meaning that in the best way possible.

Monday started out pretty normal, not sure if I did much, other than cleaning and the usual. Went to a friends for a little while in the evening.

Tuesday started out normal, you know get up drink coffee check emails, exercise, eat lunch and clean, again the same old same old. Well, I was online in the afternoon and working on some stuff in my scrappy room. Then DH told me he was on his way home so I got off line in case he needed to call. Checked the phone for messages, and there were some. First one, nothing major, second one put me on Cloud 9! It was the director of the USC Law Library calling, well I know they do not call if you didn't get the job so I got very excited. I called him back, and left a message. After doing a happy dance in the kitchen and freaking out all the animals I decided that I better do something to keep myself busy waiting for the phone to ring. (I have been waiting for the phone to ring for two months, but knowing it was going to made the anxiety that much more!) The phone rings, I know who it is thanks to caller ID. I try to stay calm but my excitement level is through the roof. So, I am offered the cataloging job at the library all I could say was whoa hooo, I know not real professional but hey I am like way excited about this. Well by the time I got off the phone with mister director man I could barely contain myself, I was bouncing, bouncing off the walls, bouncing off the ceiling just plain bouncing.

So, I call my mom since DH is still not home from work yet. I say, "guess what" and she says "what" and I said "I GOT A JOB!" I think she was more excited than I was because she did a whoop and holler I usually only hear during a long touchdown run during a Green Bay Packer football game. I talked to her about the job and what all this means for so many aspects of our life. She gets a call, she isn't gone long, then I get a call, its my older sister. "Hello" "whoa hooo, now talk to mom." She is so silly! I talked to mom until DH got home.

DH gets home, he looks so tired, but he can tell there is something up because my smile was way beyond ear to ear. He gets in the house and I tell him, "You are looking at the new cataloging librarian at the USC Law Library!" and he says "whoa hoo!" We were both very excited that we did a little dance :D. We then both got ready and went out to eat at the Mexican place in town, I even had a Margaritta and it was yumm yumm yummy. My face is still sore from all that smiling.

Wednesday, besides still being on a high from being gainfully employed I didn't do much!!! LOL, I did put in an order from some scrappy supplies and I believe I even got a little creative and made some pages. I have actually be very productive this week, between Monday and Friday I did one double page layout and two single page layouts, very good for me.

Thursday, I had some errands to run. Get the oil changed in DH's car, groceries, enlarge some pics, and do some laundry. Lots to do and I got it all done.

Friday, it all sunk in when I got the letter from USC offering me the job. I think I will have it framed. I got everything I needed put together to accept the job, now I just have to get my transcripts and find out what time I need to be to work. I also got all my stuff ready to go to CKC on Saturday, which was even more exciting because I had a job too.

Saturday, CKC is finally here. CKC is a Scrapbooking Convention put on by Creative Keepsakes and it was up in Charlotte. So, my scrappy friend and I loaded up the car, once again, and headed north this time to the Queen City. We got there just in time to start our Volunteer sifts. Four hours of being Teaching Assistant was very cool, got me lots of free stuff and admittance into the Vendor Fair. OMG the Vendor Fair was awesome, there was so much there, stamps, ink, paper, dies, embellishments, and so much more. I had some fun at a couple places. We both had a couple classes in the afternoon, which were fun. I learned how to make a flip flop album and a waterfall album with an accordion fold--very cool. I still have both of those to finish but I want to put my own personal touches on them. After classes got done we had about one and a half hours before the Send-Off Crop, so we decided to go get supper. Now, you would think on a Saturday afternoon, downtown Charlotte, NC across the street from a convention center there would not only be numerous restaurants but those numerous restaurants would be open? Oh no, that would have been too easy. Well, there was one place but since we had pizza for lunch we didn't want it again (a menu would have been handy) , so we set off to find supper. Well, get to one place closed, second place closed, third place way to expensive, fourth place a little bit more formal then what we are wearing. So, after walking at least 20 blocks we ended up eating at where we started, and guess what they had much more than pizza, in fact the burgers were very good. Man do my feet and legs hurt this morning.

On to the crop we go, only a few minutes late but we made it. We find a table, and luck out with there being two very fun ladies sitting there which was great. I got lots done in the less then 4 hours or so that we had. I did two single pages and one double page layouts. At this rate both the wedding and Jamaica albums will be done in no time. The drive out of Charlotte was a little interesting, and lets just leave it at that. We got home late, but I think it was worth it (as I sit here with very sore feet and legs.) I took a shower and hit the bed, and after a few tosses and turns I feel asleep.

Sunday, slept late and woke up sore! So, I am spending the day lounging on my couch while DH plays a video game. I do so like days like this, time together, all the animals cuddled up and sleeping near by.

So, that was my week, a great week! Hope that every one else had a super fantastic fun filled happy week as well. That's it from the Bunny Hole, keep on keepin it real. Peace out!

Down with Hackers

Alright what gives you the right to go and hack a site? I mean really, and of all sites a Scrapbooking site, why would you even bother? All I can say is GROW UP!! What did that site or anyone there ever do to you? Is this your way of feeling like a big man, if so maybe you should pick a site that isn't populated by 98% women. Of all the sites to hack, banks, credit cards, eBay, you know ones that actually have money associated with them you pick one that a bunch of women are at. Well, we may be women, and we may be for the most part harmless creatures, but let me tell you, you have threatened us and that is not good. Do you not know that we have sharp tools and blunt objects, and we know how to use them. So, if you could please grow up and realize that you could be doing bigger and better things please release my scrappy site already.

About to get my Rabbit with the Big Sharp Pointy Teeth slippers out and attack, show how dynamite this Bunny really is.

A Croppin' I Did Go

What a weekend!

Friday we left my house a little after 4 am and hit the road with a mission. We made it to Savannah for breakfast with an online friend. We had so much fun just a chatting away. Wish we would have had more time but we were on a mission and we could not stray from our schedule. We left Savannah and hit the road for our next stop--Winter Haven, FL and an awesome Scrappy Store there. Lets just say we made good time. Just before Daytona my friend needed to rest so we decided to pull off and switch drivers. Well, we didn't pull off at the best place, and getting back on to the interstate was a bit tricky. I did it, luckily that dump truck could move over, and getting used to a new car at 80 is not always easy, but I did it.

We got to Winter Haven and the scrappy store, found a few things and were off once again. We were now headed for Branden and a JoAnn's Superstore. Better selection than the JoAnn's here, but we both only found a couple very small items and we were back on the road again for Parrish and our final destination Day Springs.

I was navigating, and we missed the turn. I do have to say it was so not my fault. Map Quest gave us the name of a street to turn on, however, the streets all have two names and the one we had was the smaller of the two. Now when I say smaller I mean it looked like, and I quote, "like it came from Barbie's Dream House." It was so small. The sign for the Conference center was small too, but at least I saw that on our second pass. We were very happy to get there.

We then had to unload the car, this took several trips but we did it. We also set up our scrappy areas so that we could do some serious scrappin. We were not there long and then it was supper time. Thank goodness we were starved. When we got back from supper we went to yet another scrappy store. I found some fun stuff there. We got back and we got to scrappin'.

We stayed up late and got up early all weekend, but we had so much fun. We even got some scrappin' done. I in fact made 5 single page layouts and 3 double page layouts, got to play with the Xyron Personal Cutting System and some fun Quickutz Dies. So out of the 22 page kits I put together I got 8 of them done, great accomplishment considering it seemed like every time I looked up it was time to go eat.

We left Day Springs a little after noon on Sunday. This was in itself a trip. We were taking one of our friends, she is from Ohio, to Orlando to visit her family. Now the little car we were in was loaded with just two of us, but add a third to the mix and loaded is an understatement. In fact our hope for the hour long trip was to not hit any bad bumps. The little Saturn was so loaded we drove with three people in the front. I drove and my two friends shared the passenger seat, close friends has an entirely new meaning now LOL. By the time we got to Orlando we were all very happy to get out of the sardine can. But we did have fun, I still giggle when I think about it.

Well we left Fink in Orlando and back on the road again. We were on yet another mission, a mission to make it home before Monday, which we did. Traffic was good for us, which was great because there was a 20 mile stretch on the other side of the interstate that looked like a parking lot and we were very happy to not be there. Unfortunately the weather was not as good. From Jacksonville to Columbia it rained off and on, and for a few of those ons it was so bad you could hardly see, but we made it. We pulled into my drive way about 11 pm, unloaded my stuff and was home. My friend still had another 10 miles til home and to unpack her stuff, which waited until the next day because it was raining so hard when she got there.

What a weekend, I tell you, but man we had so much fun. I am looking forward to next year, but we will have a bigger car for that one.

Well thats it from the Bunny Hole for now. Peace

I'm artsy

Some artsy stuff I created.

This is a Boyish Backpack I made using the Harley Davidson Theme.

This is the inside of the backpack. There is a 12 page album that pulls out for pictures or whatever. The album is held in with the ribbon.

Have a great day!!!!

Peace

Packed Up and Almost Ready

Well, all my scrappy stuff is packed up and ready to go. I am still hoping to make a few more page kits, and maybe some flirty purse sets, and I have some stuff for cards. I am so hoping that I have not forgotten anything, if so I guess to bad for me, lol. Now I just need to get my clothes and other stuff ready to go. I am very excited to get to go scrap with so many of my friends. Fun fun fun!!!

Watch out Florida here I come. :D

Okay I better get going so I can get some stuff done. Will check in later.

Peace

A Croppin' I will Go!

Okay, so next week Friday I leave for a fun filled weekend in Florida. What will I be doing for fun you may ask, well I will be scrapbooking of course. A friend of mine there has got us a great little retreat place to go for the weekend so a group of us are headed down for some serious scrappy time. We don't have to leave to sleep or eat, which is totally cool.

So, I have been getting my scrappy stuff ready to go for the last few days. So far I have 16 page kits ready to go. I am hoping that this will help me get lots and lots accomplished while I am there, even if I am blabbering away. I love the fact that I can just pull out everything I need for a page and work on it. I have the papers all picked out, the pictures printed (all but one), the journaling written, and a materials list. I am hoping to use Yams' wide format printer to print my favoritest wedding picture on fabric, I sure hope it turns out or I could be seriously bummed. I have all sorts of pages planned too, that way I shouldn't have to worry about not wanting to work on something I have so many to choose from. I am hoping to get a few more done as well, I mean I am going to have roughly 38 hours of scrappy time.

I have started my what to bring list of tools and supplies, I am hoping to not completely move out of my scrappy room. DH always is amazed at how much I can bring with me, but hey you don't want to not have something. I am hoping that with the page kits I will have packed only what I need, and if some need comes up my fellow scrappers should be able to help me out--that's what croppin with others is about helping each other. I am so super excited about this trip I can hardly stand it. Only a few more days and we will be hitting the road for a fun filled weekend of scrappin'. What could be better?

Until next time from the Bunny hole.
Bunny Out

Its been a while

I know I know, its been forever and a day, so sue me, life has been happening.

Actually a lot has happened since I last posted, well duh its been almost a year, so I guess I best get y'all up to speed.

October--G's funeral, not fun.
November-- Croppin' for HizDay and the Inlaws came for Thanksgiving, lots of fun. We had fun at the after Thanksgiving Day sales
December--7th wedding anniversary and Christmas, whoo hoo fun
January--New Year's Day at Lambeau Field and the Packers WON!, more fun than you could imagine. I went to the game with DH's best freind, he had never been to Lambeau and was totally taken aback by the experience.
February--Birthday and basically uneventful
March--Not much at all other than scrappin and getting ready for HizDay. I did manage to win some more Sizzix at CX (I love that place)
April--HizDay, which was a blast the weather cooperated and the bands rocked
May--My last month at SMC, a little sad but good. We also had to have our oldest cat Callie put to sleep, she was very sick and it was for the best, this was very very sad.
June--Dad has been sick, went to visit him and mom in WI, stressful trip but good nonetheless
July--Not much, going to FL to crop with friends

See caught up already and as you can see my life has been pretty boring. Other than looking for a new job and scrapping away not much has been going on. I will attempt to stay up to date on this, not sure if it will happen, but hey I do what I can.

Thats it for now from the Bunny Hole, Peace
