Hey all y'all I was hopping around the blogosphere today looking for some inspiration and new techniques and thought I would share some things I came across.
Blog one LilyBean's Paperie, now I have known this designers work for a while as we used to be on the CX forum together way back in the day, and have always loved her work. Today she has the cutest thing for a birthday card, and since my mom's birthday is tomorrow I am thinking that this card may be just the inspiration I needed. I found some cool vintage image sites while surfing the other day, so I am hoping I can find a cute ticket to use.
Blog two is Wendy Vecchi's Studio 490, she is so fun took a class with her a few years ago and had a blast. I totally agree with Wendy that the Distress products by Tim Holtz and Ranger are awesome. In fact I do not think I would survive with out it, and the Archival ink rocks as well. Not to mention it has been a while since I have played with stencils this might be a fun technique to use for a birthday card as well. I am also looking forward to seeing her finished project, she only gave a sneak peak.
Blog three is Jennifer McGuire Ink and I really love the idea of the cut out with the design. I think this is what is going to finally get me to use those Quickutz dies and stamps that I bought years ago and regretfully have never used. Also such a versatile way to do a card that it would work for any occasion, which is cool!
I told you it was a mini blog hop, and I did go to a few others but out of all of them these were the three that I felt would really help me make a card for my mom. I am not sure if I will combine the three or make three, we will see! So, now it is time to get my scrap on, I hope that others will find some inspiration as well. Keep on hopping and peace out--Bunny
